Firefox 4 now available to download

Firefox 4 is slated for an official released, Users can already grab the update from Mozilla's FTP servers now.

the folks at Mozilla strongly discourage grabbing from their FTP servers, which aren't designed to handle the kind of traffic that a big release and lots of hungry Firefox fans adds to the mix. (Basically it's what they use to distribute the release to all their big asset servers.) In fact, they've specifically requested that we avoid linking to it in the past, so we're not doing so here. If, however, you can't wait until the download hits official Mozilla channels, you can download the final release from web site Fileforum. Here are the download pages for Firefox 4 on Windows, Mac, and Linux.

Firefox 4 brings with it a slew of new features, including, most notably, a completely overhauled user interface that makes it look a lot like Chrome, but hardware acceleration and the jet-powered JaegerMonkey JavaScript engine also jostle for center stage. In true Mozilla style, Firefox 4 also brings support for many emerging standards, such as HTML5, CSS3 and WebGL. Finally, there are neat features like built-in Sync, restartless add-ons, and workspace management with Panorama.
