World’s First Fujitsu Truly Wireless Display

Japanese electronics manufacturer, Fujitsu is ready to show off the “world’s first truly wireless display” at CeBIT 2011.
This new monitor will work with a combination of different wireless technologies. Using magneto-induction technology, the monitors will be able to work in specially designed hotspots by just placing the monitor on it – think of inductive chargers like the HP TouchStone or Powermat, now make it bigger and increase the energy output so that it can fit the base of the monitor and power it at the same time. For obtaining the data to show onscreen, the monitors will use a wireless USB technology that has a range of about 10 meters. No details have been released about the pricing or availability of such monitors, but we can expect our desks to get a whole lot less cluttered in the future.
